Governor Rick Scott has filed a lawsuit against the Broward County elections supervisor, citing massive fraud. (View lawsuit documents)
Scott is demanding that the Broward County supervisor of elections Brenda Snipes turn over records showing how ballots are being counted.
During a late night press conference Thursday, Scott said, “Every day since the election, the leftwing activists in Broward County have been coming up with more and more ballots out of nowhere.” Scott went on to say, “We all know what is going on. Every person in Florida knows exactly what is happening. Their goal is to keep mysteriously finding more votes until the elections turn out the way they want.”
Democratic liberals can’t stand to lose, the National Republican Senatorial Committee said.
Scott said, “I will not sit idly by while unethical liberals try to steal this election from the people of Florida.”
“There are 67 counties in Florida, only these two counties are involved in these shenanigans,” Scott said. “There are no other counties – Republican or Democrat – that are trying to steal this election, or who are still finding ballots.”
In 2016, Brenda Snipes was accused of violating voting laws.
According to state records, Snipes has a history of fraud, which was reiterated by Scott.
Ricks opponent, Senator Bill Nelson, also has ties to the Clintons.
President Donald Trump also tweeted about the situation.
